Rams Win at Home

The Scott City Rams returned home for a date with the St. Vincent Indians on Friday January 23rd, and were able to come away with a 73-64 win.

The first quarter was a back and forth affair, with the Rams holding a slight 17-16 advantage. Scott City was able to gain some separation in the second quarter as they outscored St. Vincent 22-12 to take a 39-28 lead into halftime. The Rams outscored the Indians 20-14 in the third quarter to build a 59-42 lead. St. Vincent was able to outscore the Rams in the fourth quarter, 22-14, but the final margin was the closest they were able to get.

Top Performers

• Max: Led all scorers with 24 points, including three 3-pointers.

• Braeden: Contributed 16 points, while also grabbing 6 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists.

• Carter: Scored 14 points while grabbing 6 rebounds and collecting 4 steals.

• Kaden: Chipped in with 12 points and handed out a team high 8 assists.

By The Numbers

Scott City once again showed their willingness to get everyone involved on the offensive end, totaling 22 assists on their 30 made field goals. The Rams improve to 13-3 and will return to action on Tuesday when they host the Scott County Central Braves for Senior night. It will be Varsity only starting at 6:00.

JV Rams Continue to Roll

The Scott City JV Rams were able to grab a 37-14 lead after the first half and never looked back, cruising to a 75-42 win. Scott City JV did a great job of sharing the ball and playing with energy for the entire game, which resulted in their winning streak extending to eight games. The JV Rams improve to 10-1 and will return to action on Thursday when they travel to Jefferson High School in Festus to take on the Blue Jays at 5:30.
