Rams Defeat BlueJays

The Scott City Rams hosted the Oak Ridge BlueJays in the opening round of the Scott/Mississippi Conference Tournament on Saturday January 31st, cruising to an 85-33 win.

Scott City had a fast start from the opening tip, which resulted in a 27-8 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Rams were able to extend their lead going into halftime, after out scoring the Bluejays in the second quarter 26-7. In the third quarter, Scott City posted a 29-13 advantage and increased their lead to 82-28. Oak Ridge was able to win the fourth quarter 5-3 to reach the final margin.

Scott City tallied 18 assists and collected 16 steals as they improve to 15-3. The Rams will return to action Tuesday when they take on the Delta Bobcats in the semifinals of the Scott/Mississippi Conference Tournament at Scott County Central, starting at 5:15 pm.

JV Rams Pick Up Win

The Scott City JV Rams raced out to a 34-5 lead at halftime and never looked back, defeating the Chaffee Red Devils 49-23. The JV Rams improve to 11-1 and will take on Oak Ridge on Tuesday in the semifinals of the Scott/Mississippi Conference Tournament at Scott County Central, starting at 4:00 pm.
