The SCHS Drama Club will be presenting “12 Angry Jurors” on November 21st and 22nd. In the days leading up to the play, we will provide information on the actors performing in the play.
Juror 3: Ann
“Hello! My name is Ann and I have been a part of Scott City’s theater department for four years, this being my fourth. I have had the time of my life being a part of this club, and I have made memories that I will never forget. I’ve also been granted opportunities that I’ve learned valuable lessons through, and gained wonderful experience in the area of public speaking. Outside of theater I enjoy reading, listening to music, and watching superhero movies! I’m super stoked for my final year and hope to see you at all the upcoming shows!
Juror #3 is a woman with very strong, and generally very wrong, opinions. She is aggressive, rude, and often agitates her fellow jurors. It was a fun challenge to take on the role of Juror #3 because I’m not generally this aggressive or hostile in real life, so it was a different experience to portray these emotions to such an extreme degree. Despite her aggressive personality, I have a sort of sympathy for her character. It’s embarrassing to watch her anger as it forms into more pathetic desperation as the show goes on. Overall, she’s a fun character to study, but definitely not one I’d like to be around much in real life!”
Juror 4: Kassidy
“I’ve been in love with theatre for as long as I can remember. Something about performing in front of an audience so flawlessly made me nearly explode with joy. But the spark of acting was short-lived. The plays I was forced to act in through my elementary years killed the joy I felt from acting. It wasn’t until 6th grade that I started to love acting again. I auditioned for a play that ignited the spark inside of me. I found myself yearning to be on the stage, and am forever grateful that I am able to be part of such an amazing drama program.
Juror #4 is the character that you’ll see me acting as on stage in the play “Twelve Angry Jurors”. This juror is concerned with nothing but facts, and is one of the only unbiased people in the jury room. She is a character of wealth and position, and has a lot of long monologues in this play. I enjoy her character, and enjoy acting as her.”
