Big Weekend for SC Sports

With the 2024 SEMO District Fair winding down, Ram fans may be looking for entertainment this weekend and the high school sports schedule offers plenty of opportunities.

Friday afternoon and evening, the Volleyball team will travel to Cape Girardeau to begin play in the annual Dig For Life tournament. This is one of the biggest volleyball tournaments in the area, with teams from all over the region traveling to compete. Last year, the Rams went 2-1-2 in the tournament and will be looking to better that mark this season.

Also happening Friday night will be the Friday Night Football game, where the Football Rams will host the Hayti Indians. The Rams traveled to Hayti last season and came away with a 58-0 victory. The Rams are 2-0 this season, with wins over East Prairie and Kelly, and will be looking to extend their undefeated record.

Saturday will bring even more action, as the Cross Country team will travel to Arcadia Valley. This will be their second meet of the year, with a start time of 9:15 in the morning. Additionally, the Volleyball team will continue their Dig For Life experience, eventually culminating in a knockout tournament.

We hope all Ram fans looking for something to do will take some time to come support these teams as they represent Scott City to their best abilities. Go Rams!
