Scott City Football Preparing For Districts
The Scott City Rams football team is gearing up for their upcoming district tournament. After navigating a very difficult schedule in the regular season, the Rams are ready to take on the competition in Class 2, District 1.
The Rams enter the postseason as the #6 seed in the district, finishing the regular season with a record of 5-4. That record may be deceptive, however, as three of those losses came to teams who had a combined record of 23-4 on the season, with the fourth loss being to perennial state powerhouse, Hayti. The first game of the district tournament will be on the road on November 1 at 7:00 p.m., against the East Prairie Eagles. This will be a rematch of their season opener, where the Rams defeated the Eagles 22-0.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the Rams’ first game of the 2024 postseason. With their previous victory over East Prairie, the Rams have momentum on their side. However, the Eagles will be seeking redemption, making for an intense and exciting matchup. The Rams know they can’t afford to let their guard down, as every game in the district tournament will be a battle. But with their talent and determination, the Rams are preparing themselves to make a deep run in the playoffs. Go Rams!
