It was an outstanding home speech tournament for the Scott City Speech and Debate team! Thanks to the help of teachers, friends, family, and coaches, our team hosted 8 schools Thursday evening with great success. Schools from all over the district attended, and out of those 8 schools and dozens of entries, the Scott City team was able to send all our competitors to finals AND win some awards: 1st and 2nd in Storytelling and 2nd in Dramatic Interpretation. Congratulations, Speech Team! Break a leg in a couple weeks at Bernie. Only 2 tournaments left until MSHSAA Districts in March!
