Perfect Start! Lady Rams Take Down Opponents in Home Opener Thriller.

The Scott City Volleyball Rams kicked off their season with resounding victories at home against Caruthersville, securing wins for both their Junior Varsity and Varsity squads in a dominating outing. The Varsity won in straight sets, taking scores of 25-10, 25-8, and 25-14. Similarly impressive was the JV squad’s performance, which secured its victory with scores of 13-25, 25-19, and 25-17. With these victories, the Rams start their season with a record of 1-0.

The wins were powered by standout individual performances across the roster. Senior Layla led the way with a remarkable defensive effort and serving prowess, recording 23 digs and five aces. Playmaking was handled effectively by Junior Brylee, who managed 18 assists alongside four aces. Key contributions also came from sophomore Clara, a well-rounded player who tallied four blocks and four aces, and freshman Ava, who added six aces to her stat line.

The volleyball team will travel next to Puxico, to take on the Indians. That match will take place on Tuesday, September 1st, with a 6:00 pm start time.
